The Law harmonizes the effective legislation with the principles of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 in the part of adoption of the additional distinctive emblem ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the effective Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts" that amended the Law "On Red Cross and Red Crescent Symbols in Ukraine" (re introduction of the additional symbol of Red Crystal). It also changed its title for "On Red Cross, Red Crescent and Red Crystal Symbols in Ukraine."
The Law presents a new version of clause 2 of the effective Law: "Legislation of Ukraine on Red Cross Society of Ukraine and on Red Cross, Red Crescent and Red Crystal Symbols is based on the Constitution of Ukraine, Geneva Conventions of 1949 and Additional Protocols to it, other international agreements of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Red Cross, Red Crescent and Red Crystal Symbols in Ukraine", this Law and other respective normative-legal acts."
Clause 6 of the effective Law is presented in a new version, whereby the Society uses the Red Cross emblem in the order fixed by the Law "On Red Cross, Red Crescent and Red Crystal Symbols in Ukraine."
